George Trefgarne

George Trefgarne is the founder of Boscobel, a specialist communications firm offering bespoke public affairs and financial PR advice to clients. He began his career at the Telegraph Group where he held a variety of editorial positions over more than a decade and developed a reputation as a respected economic and political commentator. He subsequently spent three years at BP as a communications adviser to the chief executive, before spending six years at Maitland as a partner. He founded Boscobel & Partners in 2015.

George is a research fellow at the Centre for Policy Studies and an advisory board member at Open Europe. In 2012 he published Metroboom: Lessons from Britain’s Recovery in the 1930s and he continues to write for publications including The Times and The Daily Telegraph.
